This piece was inspired by just trying different glazes that I
had on hand in the studio. This particular glaze is in the
"Jungle Gems" series from Mayco. It is a fun glaze and
has unlimited possibilities. This is a piece that you the
customer can have a hand in to create a special urn.
You will notice that the rock that I carve for the knob
matches the glaze in the body of the piece. I also sprinkle
black glass in the bottom. The black strip you see at the
top is a black enamel added after the piece has been
fired.
